Role Description

Talion is looking for a highly skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our energetic and experienced Test team based in our offices in Kuala Lumpur. The expectations of this role will be to design automation scripts and find solutions for automation problems.

As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be working with developers and testers to design and develop test automations scripts. To be a successful Test Automation Engineer, you should be exceptionally accurate and posses a superior mathematical aptitude. You should be flexible in doing both scripting and test execution.

The role requires programming skills and excellent time management skills. At times you may be asked to help in manual testing during project peak season. Resource should be able to help on regression automation effort and test execution and maintenance.

Although the role will be based in Kuala Lumper Malaysia the successful candidate will be working with a multitude of development, security, and operational teams throughout the business for different projects.

The appointee will report to the Test Manager and work alongside other testers in the team. They will also work closely with different project teams based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Farnborough and Leeds, United Kingdom.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science and other related fields
  • Experience in designing and developing test automation scripts
  • Using test automation guidelines
  • Researching issues in software through testing
  • Collaborating with Testers and Developers to develop solutions.
  • Keeping updated with latest industry developments
  • Willingness, good attitude, and an appetite to learn and develop
  • Excellent testing and Quality Assurance Experience
  • Strong programming skills, ideally python and java
  • Comfortable communicating with teams at different locations.
  • Understanding and command of the fundamentals of network routing, TCP/IP and Network
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills as well as attention to detail
  • Experience working in fast paced environments, and ability manage workload even during times of escalated

Desirable

  • Previous experience as a Test Automation Engineer
  • Previous experience in Cyber Security
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and knowledge in query languages such as SQL, Jenkins, ArcSight API
  • Experience with common development tools such as GIT, Maven, Docker
  • Experience in Karate Tool
  • Certified tester Foundation Level (CTFL) certified
